Main Description of Job Duties:


Our Kitchen Production positions serve an integral role in helping our kitchen run smoothly and efficiently. Kitchen Production staff members are responsible for preparing food production during their shift and canning final product, while maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition. In doing so, this role helps our team to work together seamlessly to create the best possible experience and deliver The Fresh Chile Co. food products of the highest possible quality for our customers.


This position requires someone who has some experience working in a commercial kitchen or food production facility.  The ability to work well with others, take direction and work well under deadlines. This position requires the ability to read and comprehend labels on recipe sheets, and raw ingredients, and to operate kitchen equipment safely (including high temperature cooking kettles, immersion blenders, juicers, dicers, etc.). The availability to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends, and strong communication, organizational and multitasking skills are also a must for this type of position. This position is fast paced, and requires heavy lifting at times, and long periods of standing.


Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide food items at proper quality and temperature 
  • Prepare and cook raw ingredients to finished goods
  • Prepare spices according to recipe
  • Follow appropriate SOP’s
  • Clean and properly sanitize all food preparation equipment
  • Follow employee handbook guidelines for cleanliness
  • Follow “first in, first out” guidelines for raw ingredients
  • Maintain proper rotation of food product for quality and freshness
  • Check temperature of food products frequently to meet health code standards
  • Complete daily checklist in a timely manner
  • Cook or otherwise prepare food according to recipe
  • Be able to lift heavy objects throughout the day
  • Maintain proper verbal communication with kitchen staff and manager
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other areas of kitchen and work area
  • Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must pass ServSafe exam
  • Adhere to and follow all policies in company handbook
