Hatch Green Chile Pecan and Chocolate Chip Cookies
(This recipe makes about 2 dozen cookies)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup softened butter
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped Fresh Chile Green Chile Pecans
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Chile Hatch Green Chile Powder
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F.
2. Cream the base: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Add the egg: Mix in the egg until fully incorporated.
4. Add dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, Hatch Green Chile Powder, and baking soda. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring as you go.
5. Mix in the flavor: Fold in the chopped Green Chile Pecans and chocolate chips until evenly combined.
6. Shape the cookies: Roll the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake: Bake for 10 to 13 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool before serving.
