Brisket Burnt Ends with Hatch Red & Green Chile Blend
(This recipe serves 4 to 6, depending on how hungry you are)
Ingredients:
- Cubed brisket pieces (use leftovers or smoked brisket ends)
- Fresh Chile BBQ Sauce (your favorite flavor)
- Fresh Chile Red & Green Chile Blend
- Homemade fry bread (or store-bought flatbread)
- Crumbled Cotija cheese
- Shredded cabbage
Instructions:
1. Coat the brisket: Toss cubed brisket in Fresh Chile BBQ Sauce until evenly coated.
2. Caramelize: Place the brisket on your smoker or grill (like a Traeger) and let it caramelize over medium heat. This step adds that sticky, smoky exterior everyone loves in burnt ends.
3. Sauce it up: Transfer the caramelized brisket into a skillet. Pour in a generous amount of Fresh Chile Co. Red & Green Chile Blend and stir to coat. Simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors.
4. Assemble the plate: Place a piece of fry bread on each plate. Pile on the brisket, then top with Cotija cheese and shredded cabbage.
Serving tip: The crispy fry bread base soaks up all the saucy brisket flavor, while the Cotija and cabbage add a salty, fresh crunch.
