Chocolate Pecan Banana Bread

Don't let your Bananas that are too ripe go to waste! Easy Peasy Summertime fun!
Bread

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ Tablespoons Fresh Chile Red Chile Powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup butter softened
1/4 cup brown sugar packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups mashed bananas (about 4 small bananas)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cups Fresh Chile Chopped Pecans

Topping

1/4 cup half and half
2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
1 teaspoon butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon Fresh Chile Red Chile Powder
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:
Bread

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan generously with non-stick cooking spray.
Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder; & Fresh Chile Chile Powder; set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Mix in the eggs and mashed bananas. Add Fresh Chile Chopped Pecans.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir to combine. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake at 350°F for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Set aside to cool.

Topping

Heat the half and half and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture begins to bubble around the edges, stirring often. Stir in the Fresh Chile Red Chile Powder, butter, and vanilla until combined.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add in the chocolate chips, whisking until melted.
Pour the chocolate glaze into a small bowl and set it aside to cool completely. Once cooled, drizzle the glaze over top of the chocolate banana bread.
Note: I prefer drizzling the Guanche on each piece of Chocolate Pecan Banana Bread when served
